Merchandise planner (m/f)
32-38 hours

The function:
As a Merchandise Planner, you are responsible for delivering an optimal assortment and demand and inventory planning. You translate commercial thoughts into assortment analysis, supporting category managers with analyses of sales data to arrive at an optimal assortment. You are responsible for good demand planning, providing insight, forecasts and actions that optimize inventory and lead to maximizing turnover. You are responsible for inventory levels, setting up budgets and managing KPIs. Thanks to your sharp analyses and strategic insights, you ensure an optimal financial contribution and a commercially strong product mix. You work closely with category managers, e-commerce, sales, logistics and marketing to realize maximum impact.

Your duties:

  • Analyzing sales figures and inventory levels per product category;
  • Forecasting demand and sales based on historical data, seasonal influences and campaigns;
  • Drawing up sales and inventory plans plus short and long term budgets;
  • Coordinating delivery times and coordination with suppliers and logistics partners;
  • Collaborate with category managers to optimize assortments;
  • Identifying commercial opportunities and advising on promotions, offers and discounts;
  • Thinking about process optimization within merchandise planning;
  • Reporting KPIs and results to management.

What we expect from you:

  • HBO work and thinking level;
  • Demonstrable experience with merchandise planning;
  • Strong analytical skills and good numerical insight;
  • You think several steps ahead;
  • You see new possibilities and can implement processes;
  • Specialist with Excel and experience with PowerBI;
  • You have experience with ERP systems;
  • You are solution-oriented, flexible and stress-resistant and proactive in tackling new opportunities;
  • You have strong communication skills and are results-oriented;
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility, maintain an overview and can quickly switch between different ongoing projects;
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
